Overview
Lake Mburo National Park is a compact gem, located conveniently close to the highway that connects Kampala to the parks of western Uganda. It is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks and underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks which date back more than 500 million years. It is home to 350 bird species as well as zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi and reedbuck.
Itinerary
Lake Mburo being close to 3 hours drive from Kampala, this trip unless otherwise is always two days. Day one, is transfer from Kampala to the Park, since it’s a shorter journey, after reaching one can freshen up and later go for the Game driver or boat cruise whichever you would want to be done first.
The next day which is the second day, you can choose to do some bird watching, Nature walks, among other activities. Then lunch after which, the journey to kampala starts to your preferred destination either hotel or airport according to your schedule. Arrangements can be made incase one chooses to stay longer.
